Baptism (Christening) is the foundation of Christian Life and the gateway to the other sacraments of the Church. It is offered to anyone living within the Benefice and who is looking for themselves or their child to be part of the Christian church.
If you want to know more please contact the Priest in charge (see Contact Us tab). We are happy to baptise people of any age, although when adults wish to be baptised, we encourage them to be confirmed either at the same time, or soon after.
Baptisms ideally take place within a Church service but are available at other times to suit individual family's needs.
There is no charge for a baptism.
We also offer a Service of thanksgiving and blessing after the birth of a child where parents are currently not ready to make the commitment of Baptism. Again, please contact our Vicar for further information.
